Board of Directors

Myrna Loy Center   May 19, 2003


The Board of Directors of the Myrna Loy Center met on May 19, 2003. President Melinda White 
called the meeting to order.

Melinda White, Hattie Jo Lehman, Cindy Gaffney, Amy Budke, Randall Green, Ali Bovingdon, 
Peter Bovingdon and Arlene Parisot & Paul Edwards were present.

Staff present was Linda Carlson, Development Director. 

Approval of Minutes

Paul Edwards moved to approve the minutes and the motion was seconded by Ali Bovingdon.  
Motion carried.

Staff Report

Linda Carlson read Ed's executive report in his absence. 

Nominations for Annual Meeting

Elections were then held for the slate of officers. Those nominated were:

Melinda White  President
Ali Bovingdon   Vice President
Paul Edwards  Vice Programming
Secretary   Lori Hood
Treasurer    Arlene Parisot

Peter Bovingdon made the motion to elect the slate and Paul Edwards seconded, motion carried.

Melinda asked the Board to look over committees and decide which one they would like to be on.  
All Board members are on the fundraising committee.  New board orientation will be held on 
June 2, 2003. Recruitment of new members is to include Kevin Hudson.
Ali Bovingdon & Linda Carlson will visit with him. Ali Bovingdon made the motion to ask 
Kevin and Randall Green seconded the motion.  Cindy Gaffney made the motion to ask Melissa 
Sherlock to join the board, and the motion was seconded by Ali Bovingdon. Motion carried

Finance Committee

The revised budget was discussed with a minor change; the motion to accept was made by Paul 
Edwards, with a second by Hattie Jo Lehman. Motion carried.

The next meeting will be held June 16, 2003 Paul Edwards moved to adjourn, and second was 
made by Ali Bovingdon.
