Dublin Gulch in Concert Friday, January 8, 7:30pm Myrna Loy Center $20 This concert is sponsored by the Montana Gaelic Cultural Society for the benefit of An Rí Rá Montana Irish Festival Dublin Gulch, premier traditional Irish music group from Butte , will appear in concert on Friday, January 8, 7:30 p.m. at the Myrna Loy Center . This event is sponsored by the Montana Gaelic Cultural Society for the benefit of the An Rí Rá Montana Irish Festival. This will be the first Helena appearance of the band since their new CD, “ Dirty Old Town ” was released. Copies of the CD will be available for purchase. A crowd favorite for their combination of traditional jigs and reels and songs both humorous and poignant, the band is often seen in the company of Butte ’s Tiernan Irish Dancers.

International Guitar Night Friday, January 29, 7:30 pm Myrna Loy Center $25 International Guitar Night brings together four of the world’s foremost acoustic guitarists to perform their latest original compositions and exchange musical ideas in a public concert setting. Tour founder Brian Gore will perform with Gypsy jazz guitarist Lulo Reinhardt, Israeli virtuoso Itamar Erez, and renowned harp guitarist Stephen Bennett from Virginia.

Jason Deshaw, CD Release concert Wednesday, March 3, 6:00 pm - Appetizers & Irish Music Concert at 7:00 pm Myrna Loy Center $15 if purchased in advance; $18 at the door Sponsored by: Action Print, Beartooth NBC, Capital Sports, MT Wagyu Cattle Co., Soul Tree Recording, Van's Thriftway Jason DeShaw was born and raised on the Hi-Line of Montana. Since his graduation from Carroll College in 2003, he has sang rural country music in over 30 states, Canada and in Europe. Since 2007, DeShaw has regularly performed at Nashville’s world famous “Tootsies Orchid Lounge” and showcased at the 2007 CMA festival. This special performance will celebrate DeShaw’s official release of his 4th album: “Hi-Line.” All eleven musicians who participated in this project will take part in reproducing the album onstage. Tickets for the "Hi-Line" CD release event are available at the Myrna Loy, Leslie's Hallmark stores and Capital Sports & Western. Please bring a non-perishable food item to the concert for God’s Love as an entrance donation.

The Klezmatics Sunday, March 21, 7:30 pm Myrna Loy Center Adults $18, Seniors $15, Students $12 World-renowned and Grammy-winning superstars of the klezmer world. The Klezmatics erupted out of New York City’s East Village in 1986 and revitalized Eastern European Jewish traditional music and spirituality, incorporating eclectic musical from Arab, African, Latin and Balkan rhythms, jazz and punk.

Ying Quartet and ?(Matt Fliner’s) American Tribute Friday, April 9, 7:30 pm Myrna Loy Center $22 The LA Times calls the Ying’s work “music of astonishing, refreshing exaltation and exhilaration.” Helena’s favorite string quartet brings an innovative project, No Boundaries, pairing the four siblings with folk musician Mike Seeger to delve into diverse aspects of America's musical legacy.

John Jasperse Company presents Truth, Revised Histories, Wishful Thinking, and Flat Out Lies Friday, April 23, 7:30 pm Myrna Loy Center $15 A new work by one of America’s top choreographers. This piece for five performers had its World Premiere in Dresden, Germany in September 2009, and appears at the Myrna Loy on its way to its New York premiere in June 2010.
